Digitally animated photographs I took at Burning Man 2015. Check out the original photos: www.arifararooy.com Story This past year was my second Burning Man in a row, and once again my mind was fucking blown. For my video project, I decided to use all of my 2015 photos, as well as some of my 2014 photos, and bring them to life through the experimental technique of digital animation. My photographs illustrate my surreal experiences at the festival, often using my imagination to alter reality. Music My cover of Frédéric Chopin's "Nocturne in E Flat Major, Op. 9, No. 2" recorded on my keyboard. instagram.com/ari_fararooy facebook.com/arifararooy Photographs taken with Sony NEX-7 & Sony a6000 Animated in After Effects, Edited in Premiere Pro Additional Elements from Trey Ratcliff and Galen Oakes

Burning Man in slow motion

February 22, 2016 by Arseny Vesnin in Motioncollector, Photography, USA, 2016

"2015 was Ari Fararooy’s second trip in a row to Burning Man. While enjoying the mind blowing experience on the dusty playa, the photographer captured its unique light and even more unique people. Now Fararooy has animated the experience, tapping into the surreal aspects of Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, and using it to create an alternate reality of hypnotically moving images."
