Branding for "Visionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim"

April 16, 2018 by Arseny Vesnin in 2018

New York & Moscow based art director Artem Matyushkin created branding for the exhibition "Visionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim" that was dedicated to museum's permanent collection of art from the first half of the 20th century and the way they built it. He redesigned a poster, tickets and three catalogue covers. The visuals are referencing Guggenheim's famous rotunda and typography experiments of the same timeframe as the artworks presented in the exhibition.

RAW by Do You Exist Wonderland?

January 15, 2018 by Arseny Vesnin in 2018

Nammar & Shorouk - are digital nomads based in Egypt traveling and exploring the world on their own. "Do you exist wonderland" is a step in understanding one more mysterious thing about the world and along the way they create beautiful visual content that might change your perception on humans and life in general.

RAW

A delay of time emerged once we entered the place and that's when we knew that this was going to be different. Always in search for something new, these diverse places show us another side of Egypt we had no idea existed. Located outside the city center, that fish market is one of the biggest all over Egypt. This photo series is an invasion on a group of people that only know one thing; how to sell fish. Their basic lives is a mystery on it's own and listening to each and every story makes you realize how diverse our society really is. The power of fish can be greater than the power of any social situation we are facing, but is fish just enough?

Energy as a Motive Force by Nino Bosikashvili

January 10, 2018 by Arseny Vesnin in 2018

This project is about Energy. What is Energy and where does it come from? It is a force that is transferred from one matter into another. With the transfer - transformation of force occurs. The matter (just like a man) cannot exist without energy and vice versa. Energy has no borders, nor can it disappear. And it is endlessly evolving.

But what we feel and perceive when we see the same thing (for example art) and what kind of energy can we receive from this? Is it real sense or just simulation of someone's creation?

RI.TORNO by Feel Desain

December 21, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in 2017

Feel Desain‘s photographic series Incongruenze Temporali (temporal incongruences) underlines the timelessness of the architecture and urban space of the city of Turin, subverting the before and after and demonstrating the conflict between history and modernity, past and present. As you can see from the images below, the differences between past and present in the Italian city are noticable in the smallest details. 150 years after the unification of Italy, Incongruenze Temporali highlights the contrast between the ambitions of what was possible and what was actually accomplished. A special point of view which, through knowledge of the past, looks to the future with passion.

Land Of The Fairies

December 05, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in 2017

A young boy wakes up to find a magical fairy has appeared in his room. Chasing after her, the fairy leads the young boy on an enchanting and spell binding journey through distant and spectral lands, in turn finally bringing him to the hidden "Land of the Fairies". The young boy's journey ends as it began - in his bedroom - where hopefully he has learnt to see the richness of the world and the great love that abounds within and throughout it.

“When I first heard the song, it immediately took me back to my childhood, enticing within me a sense of adventure - a journey. It was a very naive and innocent experience that I felt, and I wanted to reflect that not only in the story of the video, but in it’s very materials. That’s what gave me the idea to make something hand crafted, and I started putting together a team of artists who work in cardboard, and slowly we developed and expanded the ideas and materials for the video. I knew from the beginning I wanted to use a puppet, and for the strings and operation to be seen. All effects are in camera, and to keep in line with the sense of naivety in the project, I didn’t want to hide the ways in which the film was made.”

Red Orange Ground

November 20, 2017 by Arseny Vesnin in 2017

"As a 100-meter sprinter I wanted to create this movie 6 years ago and eventually it made it to my graduate film during my studies at Baden-Württemberg Film Academy. I joined forces with Directors, Producers and DoPs I admire to show how a 100-meter race feels like. In general, it's about the sense of temporal dimension during an average 100-meter sprint. The feeling is translated as immersive metaphors and unique key visuals on to the film."
