Interpol are taking this season to reflect on the decade since they released their debut record Turn on the Bright Lights. They'll celebrate the anniversary with a deluxe reissue on December 4 through Matador, a release that includes a collection of bonus rarities and demos. They've shared the original "Roland" demo, from their first demo tape, recorded in June 1998 in Brooklyn

The Elwins - Forgetful Assistance

“Forgetful Assistance” by The Elwins, from the album And I Thank You. The video (Directed by Michael Schmidt) features the bands’ real hands performing a highly choreographed “dance” with their phones. The video required three months of preparation and 19 takes to complete, using only four iPhones and a smattering of fun props.

The XX music app Coexist

Following on from the recent release of their second album, Coexist (read our review here), the xx have just released an official app to go along with the album. The free app allows you to watch exclusive HD videos for every song on Coexist, “play with an interactive version of the Coexist artwork”, access lyrics and tour dates and receive messages “direct from the band”.

You can download the app for iProducts at the Apple App Store, or otherwise at the Google Play Store.

Diego Stocco - Custom Built Orchestra

Diego Stocco is a one-man-orchestra, we let him speak for the project "Custom Built Orchestra" "I always been fascinated by the raw musical power that an orchestra can express, so, after creating a series of videos where I'm performing a multi-track piece with an instrument I designed, I decided to take the concept a step farther and create my own orchestra made of unusually unique instruments. The project started by handcrafting a diverse selection of instruments, then I wrote a composition where I could fit them all in and finally performed each part. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed doing it!"
