Penda Architects lead by Chris Precht created an “escheresque” space with arches, steps and mirrors for an art auditorium in the center of Beijing. What they have done literally can be described as nested doll effect by inserting multi-layered space into the structure of existent Hongkung cultural district building.
"Each of Hoflehner’s photographs achieves a perfection of composition that seems to defy the possibility that it could ever be seen any other way. Gripping in their ultimate solitude and the unexpected natural beauty they capture, Hoflehner's photographs take his earthly subject matter to raise it to an almost mythical level, defining the essence of the place. In these rare and elusive moments, the natural and the man made are brought together in a poetic interplay of light and shadow, emptiness and structure"
Zero Emission is not a dream or a nightmare for state oil corporations - it is a responsibility. Few can take it and develop a product from a scratch, a new way of moving our relentless lazy bodies from point A to B. Johann Hammerschmid and his Austrian team created Johammer J1 electric chopper that squeeze the AB distance to 200km for a one battery charge.
As a daydreamer I often imagine my ideal house during the routine, placing objects I adore on the web to its corners. Yesterday I found my perfect door created by Austrian artist Klemens Torggler and titled "Evolution Door". I can watch it in action for eternity. Torggler calls this system a “flip panel door” (Drehplattentür), and it’s almost more of a kinetic sculpture than functional door.
The SS Stavronikita ship lies at the bottom of the ocean at 13.8 N, 59.38 W, right off the Caribbean island of Barbados. It is the spot Andreas Franke has discovered and chosen to stage a game full of overflowing decadence and exuberance. This became a playground of the second project of Andreas Frankes "The Sinking World" with an underwater exhibition. You don't need to dive now to see the part of it. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Stavronikita-Project/6346483
