A group exhibition entitled “Nonspaces” that highlights exemplification of nature and modernization of space by new media is on view at Akbank Sanat, Istanbul and will run through March 4, 2017.

Curators: Ceren Arkman, Irmak Arkman

Artists: Can Büyükberber, Felix Luque, Field, Iñigo Bilbao, İdil İlkin, LAb[au], LIA, Onformative, OUCHHH, Paul Myoda, Ryoichi Kurokawa, Semiconductor, Sougwen Chung, Youki Hirakawa

The artworks on display intend to transform the notion of space or generate hyper-real spaces for our acknowledgment. The compositions let the observers comprehend and live through space in a non-physical, non-social, non-traditional manner as a non-space. The representations formed by novel media tend to be more suitable in our ultra-modern way of life, emphasizing the novel conducts that we associate with our world.
