Call for entries
The doors are now open to all graphic designers to compete for European Design Stars; the trophies handed out each year at the ED Awards ceremony.
For the fourth successive year, ED Awards invites visual communication professionals to submit their works to the finest pan-European judging panel.
Categories include branding; posters; typeface; book & editorial illustration; motion graphics; packaging; promotional sites; annual reports, etc.
Fourteen editors from leading European graphic design magazines will judge the entries and reward the best designs.
The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2010.
The winners, including the ‘Jury’s Prize’ and the ‘Agency of the Year’ will be announced at the ED Festival which, this year, will be held in the city of Rotterdam between May 28 – 30, 2010.

About European Design Awards
The ED Awards is an annual award program acknowledging the best communication design in Europe. ED Awards was created in 2007 and has since been endorsed by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA), as well as leading European graphic design magazines. The main objectives of ED Awards are:
- To celebrate European design with all its regional distinctive elements, as well as its common ground
- To facilitate European designers to meet, be inspired, and develop networks
- To promote, and raise standards for communication design throughout Europe

European Design Festival
The ED Festival consists of a 3-day conference organised around lectures given by speakers and graphic design celebrities from all over Europe, a closing award ceremony, and a party. Participants can also join seminars, workshops, design walks, local exhibitions, and visit local recommended exhibitions. The festival travels every year to a new city in Europe.
