Our former Appcollector project and now the Mobile Apps category resurrects in new form with a series of quick talks with great people sharing their thoughts about best Mobile Applications. As and addition we asked everyone to participate in our Facebook survey “What are the Best Apps on your Mobile?” please share your thoughts! For now lets check the list of favourite applications using by Fantasy Interactive creative director: Anton Repponen
Almost all the photos I take with iPhone I run through the CrossProcess App. I think it has the best colors compared to other apps doing similar color adjustments. As well as it is dead simple, without any settings, buttons, or unnecessary social stuff (like Instagram for example)
I listen to all my music using Spotify on iPhone. I got all my playlists synced wirelessly with the desktop version, so all the stuff that I like gets pushed automatically without a hassle of a cable and iTunes. And Spotify has an enormous collection of music, pretty much everything is there.
I barely use Twitter on iPhone, usually it ends up being a list of short urls and links to random photos. I like the Flipboard approach to visualizing it and making the feed more visual. Once in a while while waiting in line I go through the feed using Flipboard.
I travel quite a bit, especially for work. The moment I arrive somewhere where I will stay for some period of time (such as San Francisco or Stockholm) I use Kayak to search for nearby flights to escape somewhere for a weekend. There are probably much better apps that Kayak, but that one has the best design I think.
I really like svpply.com. Just recently they have release an iPhone and iPad apps which a extremely well done. I get struck there for hours once in a while.
Figure App – This music-making app is freaking amazing. Comes from Swedish Propellerhead (creators of Reason). There’s nothing pro about it, it’s just fun sometimes to make some loops within a minute.
